Good morning! My teacher, Lama Thupten Rinpoche has asked me to send this message to our sangha and the community at large. Anyone who is concerned about recent events and is praying for peace is welcome to attend. All are welcome, Buddhist or not.
In light of recent atrocities taking place, Rinpoche would like to invite all of you to attend this morning’s puja at Urgyen Samten Ling. If we wish to join and sit on our seat and protest our own inner ignorance and desire and anger, by engaging in the practice of compassion to cultivate lovingkindness, compassion, joy and equanimity. He will offer a reading transmission and initiation for the Chenrezig practice. Chenrezig is the Buddha of Compassion. This is the quality that we wish to cultivate within ourselves.
